Wedding shows run throughout the year, whether they be local or national. We are expecting all shows to go ahead in 2022 so if you’re planning your wedding for next year then start looking at what shows are happening round your area.
As we know planning weddings can be stressful and any help, hints or tips we can take are great and wedding shows are the ideal places to ask questions and get ideas.
We have put together a list of the top things you should look out for when attending an event.
The Bridal Gown Runway – a great way to see dresses in person, to look at styles and fashions, wedding events can also be the perfect way to get yourself professionally measured and ask any questions you might have about styles and fits for you. Also featured will be bridesmaids’ dresses so you can see the colours and styles.
Add a personal touch – events, especially local ones with have unique suppliers showcasing their products and services so this could be the perfect way to find personalised ideas for your big day.
Remember Brochures and Business Cards – You don’t need to commit to anything when attending a wedding event but if you have an interest in a service or a product then remember to ask for any leaflets or details, they have so you can revisit later.
Find the perfect Venue – there will be companies and owners of wedding venues attending these events and quite possibly ideas you might not have considered so check out what venues are around your area and discuss availability.
Caterers – Nowadays there are so many caterers that specialise in specific cuisines and dietary requirements, so check out the people at these events and if you want something specific discuss these options, whether it be a vegan wedding meal to a traditional hog roast.
Don’t Feel Pressured – attending a wedding event does not mean you need to sign cheques because you have spoken to or seen something you like/want. Ask all the questions you need then maybe arrange to call them or pop along to discuss further, you will take on board a lot of information when attending a wedding fair, just make sure you go home and think about what you have seen before committing to anything, wedding fairs should be used to research and ask questions.
