If your big day is in 2021 then you have plenty to look forward to especially if you were due to say I do last year and had to postpone. We are starting to see some new trends appear for this summer from floral arrangements to table décor, but we wanted to look at some of the expected dress trends for your bridal party.
So, depending on your wedding style, whether it be bohemian, glam, or edging towards the more classic than we are seeing dress trends that cover almost all styles. The bridesmaids’ dresses are one of the of the most important details you will look at, it can be the last jigsaw piece to finish the look you want to create.
So, we have some tips and ideas from what we have started to see appear for 2021 bridal ideas.
Do not Match – Mix – we are primarily drawn to having all our bridesmaids match, whether it be the colour or the style of the dress, but why not try a mix rather then match? Maybe have a palette of colours rather then one, change up the style of each of the gowns or even throw in a couple of floral dresses that compliment a solid neutral? Florals dresses not only add some delicate colour they also blend well with a more bohemian or beach weddings.
Ruffles – We are seeing ruffles from necklines to hems. The perfect way to add some additional glam to your bridal party. It could be a slight ruffle round the neckline or even down the sleeves. We are seeing a huge trend in burgundy and ruffles so maybe try the two together.
Luxury Fabrics and Simple Silhouettes – the list of dress fabrics can seem a bit endless but why not try some satin? Bridesmaids’ dresses in a sheath silhouette made from satin and especially in very neutral colours adds some simple elegance. We are also seeing velvet dresses in mermaid and trumpet silhouettes which would be ideal for a glamourous autumn wedding.
Greens, Blues and Neutrals – from the off, a palette that mixes well together, soft greens and blues complimented with some creams or beiges adds some sophistication but simplicity to a bridal party, these colours lend themselves well to many styles and are also very flattering, again these colours can be used right across summer to autumn weddings and maybe even blue and white winter themes.
